There was a screaming child behind our seats. This prevented us from getting any sleep during the night.
Twenty-four hours before our flight we wanted to check in online, but was unable to do this, so we walked over to the airport. We were still unable to do it, but it ended up not being a problem doing it that day. One of the women in our group wanted to check two bags, but was unable to do it, but they then let her take the smaller bag with her into the cabin and didn't charge her for that extra bag.
Touchscreens do not work. WiFi did not work. Food is possibly the worst on any European airline. Drinks came by only four times on a cross-Atlantic. The plane was two hours late because—it was announced—Lufthansa didn't have enough large aircraft in their fleet to accommodate an on-time flight.
German crew were very kind. Food was okay but can be better, especially bread was not good, Garbage collection was very poor.
We were helped whenever needed and had a pleasant flight.
More room would have made things better as would a better gate waiting area and some complementary food (like a breakfast sandwich) and some complementary juice. It was 6:30 AM after all. Our connecting flight from FRA was delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight in Chicago, which was further delayed, thereby getting us home 5 hours late. Frankfurt airport is a bad airport in my view. They should study MSP.
Super uncomfortable. Shoved in like sardines. Overhead bins were tight. Why was coffee charged for? I was insulted. How about an inflight magazine? Why can’t I charge my phone? Maybe the planes are old? They didn’t feel new. Television would have been nice. Bathrooms also very small for anyone not a size 6 or female.
Waiting too long before getting on the plane. No communication, slow...horrible
Flight landed on time but land services kept us in the plane for 3 hours. I missed connecting flight.
