First time in Croatia and really appreciate Christian from the Dubrovnik Airport giving us advice on parking and driving in Croatia. It's quite difficult to find parking near the city centers, especially free, so definitely ask around. He also recommended that we get a bigger car with more horsepower because they drive quite fast on the highways, which was completely true. Car was clean and had no issues navigating narrow streets as long as you're extra careful.

SixT did not have the car I requested. They used high pressure selling to force me to upgrade to a bigger car. they also pusejd me to buy additional insurance. Now I have returned the car about 36 hours back. I still do not have a receipt for the additonal services / insurance. My credit card has a hold for higher amount. this has not been resovled yet. I do not know what was my final cost of rental.

Picked up the car, that was beat up to say the least. Took pictures of all the external damages before driving off the lot. As soon as we left, lights started to come on one by one: low tire pressure, check engine, low oil. The car was pulling to the right, the balance was poor. Tried to contact Alamo/enterprise to no avail. We had no time to wait for service, checked oil levels (was barely min), tire pressure and decided to drive as is. After dropping it off after hours at the destination airport location, got a bill for damages from a no reply email (really???). Emailed the company after researching where to send it and they sent pictures of damages I was billed for. Sure enough, the damage was exiting and I had pictures to prove it. Still at it, not sure how long it will take to resolve!!!! Document every single thing, these people are trying to make money every way possible even if by scamming! NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!!

The car had 88,000k in mileage, evidence of heavy hail damage throughout the car body and tires with no tread. Upon pickup and seeing the condition I asked for a different car but was told it was the last despite there being numerous other vehicles in the Avis lot

There is no sign for Payless at the Dubrovnik airport. It’s the Budget/Avis kiosk. It took me almost an hour of asking to find it. Nobody answered the phone number and only one person, at Hertz, next to Budget/Avis, was able to match Payless with Budget/Avis. Get a sign for the sake of the next traveler.

Our flight was delayed - they had the flight info- so the car pickup was closed when we got there at about 1030pm. Drop off was a challenge because the address was for a restricted area and not the correct location.
