Stare Miasto is the historical centre of Krakow. You will find many Krakow house rentals in the centre, such as Old Town Guesthouse, which will put you within walking distance of many of the top attractions in the city. It is a short walk from Rynek Glowny, the regal main square, which has been the centre of Krakow since the 13th century.
South of the Old Town, Kazimierz was historically the Jewish quarter of Krakow. There are plenty of hotels and Krakow holiday rentals in this effortlessly cool area, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and nightlife. The three-bedroom Penthouse Harmonica by Loft Affair is an upscale aparthotel with a full kitchen, while Klezmer Hois Hotel offers guest rooms in a 15th-century building.
If you’re travelling on a budget, look for accommodation outside the Old Town of Krakow. The neighbourhoods of Wesola and Kleparz, near the main train station, are generally less expensive. Lorf Hostel&Coffee, in Kleparz, has shared dormitory rooms, or there are single, double and triple rooms and apartments that can accommodate up to five people.
There are many Krakow holiday rentals close to the Krakow Main train station, such as ibis Krakow Stare Miasto. The train station offers easy connections to other cities in Poland, including Warsaw and Gdansk, and is integrated within the Galeria Krakowska shopping centre, where you will find supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.
