9.7 Wonderful
Pros:Great location and stay made easy with superb staff. The local area was spot on for a different range of eating options and a nearby taxi rank. It was also really good for people watching. The shared balcony gave a relaxing view out into the beach and sea and we loved just sitting listening to the birds and the water. The facilities were excellent. We used the fitness centre a few times and it was always cool and clean. The pool was a good size and there was obviously a lot of work each day in keeping it pristine.
Cons:The rooms are a bit dated and our bathroom especially could do with some TLC. There was a stale cigarette smell in our room so maybe a no smoking policy in some rooms would be a good thing as in my experience so few people smoke nowadays. By reading previous reviews we had our expectations managed about noise. The noise was just about tolerable but for some a small venue, I think the policy on volume at Route 66 could be reviewed. We were in there when a band was warming up and it wa deafening. This would then help the guests who are staying so close by. We also had a very noisy fridge but got used to it.
