Our check-in experience wasn’t great. We arrived around 2pm to try to check-in early, and the room wasn’t ready, which was totally fine. The woman at the front desk said to check in closer to 3, which I took to mean that the check-in time was at 3 (that was also the check-in time that was listed on our third-party reservation confirmation). So we drove around for an hour, and then came back at 3 to check-in. We were told by the manager that our room would not be ready until 4, and that was the standard check-in time for embassy suites. When I told him the other person had said to check in at 3, she clarified that she meant for us to “check back in at 3”, not that check-in was at 3. Anyhow, that was a confusing experience, and we ended up sitting and waiting for about an hour in the lobby until our room was ready. Other than our check-in experience, the service overall was great and staff were friendly. The weekend breakfast from 7:30-10:30 was awesome, and the evening reception with 2 free drinks per person and snacks from 5:30-7:00 was great too. Just be prepared to wait in some long lines and bring some cash for tips! It was also a super family-friendly hotel, which we loved. Kids were running around everywhere, so if you don’t have kids, you might want to stay elsewhere. The room itself was spacious and clean. My son slept on the sofa bed and we slept on the king bed in the bedroom. The sofa bed had a really thin mattress, my 3-year-old didn’t notice or care, but I would not have felt comfortable sleeping on the sofa bed as an adult. The other thing I noticed was some loud music playing until late into the night- I’m not sure if there is a club or bar nearby, but you could definitely hear the bass, even with earplugs in. The location was fabulous, right in the middle of old market, and a super short drive to the zoo. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we are in Omaha, but wanted to let others know about the caveats!

Cons:Maybe the fitness center could have used some more weight machines-I can do cardio outside anytime.

Pros:The staff were very friendly and professional. The location is great for being able to walk to the market shops & Restaurants. The gym was well maintained and equipped. Beautiful lay out and love the water streams and fish!
Cons:We stayed on the top floor and the vending machines ran out of complimentary snacks & drinks our first night ( we had a 3 night stay) The rooms although clean are starting to show their age and the decorations are dated could use a makeover
