Waited hours in line to get the car Over 50 people in line. Car was not clean. Staffing at the countermeasures too light and computers kept breaking down.

The attendant at Burlington knew I was dropping off the vehicle in Paramus NJ, but tried to give me an EV with very little range, which would not have made the trip. I got her to give me a different vehicle, but she gave me a Mustang with rear wheel drive and not great tires. Unfortunately it snowed the that night and I almost could not make it out of Burlington because the roads were not plowed. Luckily it did not snow further south and I was able to make the trip. Rear wheel drive in Vermont in the Winter is never a good idea. Had I known it was so bad in the snow, I probably would have requested a different vehicle. Luckily I am a very experienced driver and was able adapt and navigate the slick roads without incident. However, the person at the drop off in NJ was great. He was very understanding and helpful. Great employee.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. The wait was over two hours. The line was infinite. Thankfully my two year old behaved and patiently waited. Nevertheless, everyone in line was extremely upset. The car was dirty and full of garbage. I will never rent with Budget again. Kind regards, Peter Ventre

Cons:

I noticed at pick up that the wheel cover was missing. I took a pic as suggested by the attendant, if I found any issues with it. When I arrived at my destination, I was asked if I had a flat tire along the way. I told him no that the wheel cover was missing when I picked it up. He told me that I was driving with a donut. I was shocked as it didn't appear smaller than the other tires and I had driven for 4 hours and 260 miles at top speeds of 75 mph. I have no idea if there was another spare in the trunk, the flat tire, or nothing. Fortunately nothing happened, but could have been ugly and never should have been rented out in that condition.

The car smelled like cigarettes. Very smoky and had to drive with the windows cracked.

Staff very friendly, pick up easy, convenient location, no line.

Cons:

Car was a bit dirtier than I had expected, coffee stains on ceiling that I didn't notice until later. Nobody in garage during pickup or dropoff, but as long as they don't charge me for someone else's mess, I'm ok with that.

The fact that the car rental location is actually a few miles from the airport, with no rental shuttle, is very annoying. The extra cost of the cab, etc. is rough on tired travelers with a final long drive ahead of them before they reach home. I'd like to see some improvements in convenience in this category. The actual car was fine, and we were pleased with the helpfulness of the young man in charge.

I liked the convenient and efficient process of getting my car. My return flight was very early and I also appreciated the convenience of dropping the key in the return box. The car I rented was a Toyota RAV4 and it was wonderful!!! Car was clean and running well.
