Pros:Very nice property and most of the staff were super-friendly and helpful. Easy to waste away a couple of days poolside while the kids swim.
Cons:Lost of confusion regarding my Kayak reservation. We paid extra for a room with a mountain view and were charged for it, but the hotel was never informed, so I had to sort that out and we had to move rooms. Also still disputing the resort charges that we paid once through Kayak and were charged for again by the hotel. Had an issue with housekeeping. Our little one had an accident on the bath mat before we could get him into the tub. We wadded up the bath mat along with the dirty towels and placed them in a pile on the floor for housekeeping to replace. They put the same bath mat back in place, which was gross. Finally, the pool bar was understaffed for the Memorial day weekend- two people making drinks for over 200. They were grumpy and were not able to keep track of who was next waiting in line. The honor system did not work it led to a lot of frustration. Plus, there was a drunk guy at the bar that was harassing people as they came up to order. Some of it had unacceptable sexual and racial tones. He should have been cut off and 86'd by the staff, but instead was allowed to continue to drink and be obnoxious.

Pros:Beautiful property, especially the back with a pool that allows for star gazing at night and some short hiking trails. Room and bath were spacious and clean. The cleaning staff are extremely courteous in the morning.
Cons:Keep in mind that if you want to take a bath in the oversized tub that it takes 30-60 minutes to fill. The resort fee should just be included in the hotel price instead of as a separate fee (that applies to everyone) as these fees make it feel that they are nickling-and-diming, which should not be the impression a high end hotel wants to leave. The counter ladies were efficient but did have a snobbish air. The resturant food seemed to be fried/heated frozen food, as opposed to freshly prepared.

Pros:Incredibly friendly,professional and efficient staff ! Beautiful desert setting adjacent to the Ventana Canyon hiking trail. Amazing walk to a beautiful waterfall on the property. We will be back again!
