Original flight canceled and communicated poorly. A series of gate changes , delays and plane changes followed. Even after the entire flight boarded there was another plane changes followed. Food vouchers provided to my travel companion but not to me despite being on the same reservation. No in flight entertainment. The entire experience was terrible although the flight crew were great.
Long wait to check in your bag at Honolulu Airport as no kiosks therefore no bag drop line. Confusing at gate as the desk is at entrance giving the impression you need to check in there . Waited in another lineup for no reason
Flight was on time. Online check in capabilities made things quick and easy. Zone boarding was enforced, which I appreciate. Everyone was not lining up ahead of their zone being called. Crew was professional and friendly.
Dogs. Dogs. Dogs ! Who the hell thought letting dogs on board was a good idea ? Yapping dogs on both flights ! They ruin the experience for everyone else around because you try to accommodate everyone. Please send me a refund.
Boarding process was poor and slow. Should fill the plane up from the back like other good airlines
We booked Premiere (their version of first class) and Premium Economy seats. We boarded an old swoop flight with all coach seating. No benefit to paying higher fare and no apology or reimbursement.
Flight was delayed 1.5 hours. Baggage took 45 minutes to reach carousel

The quality of service at WestJet has really decline in the past couple years. Now they rarely leave on time and are full of excuses to obviously try to minimize their responsibility for compensation. Reality and what is mentioned at the gate for delaus rarely jive. If you apply for compensation even if appropriate, you are declined. They need to get back to doing the small things great rather than look for more reasons to grab money.
I had a guy behind me kneeing me in the back due to his limited leg room and the stewardess kindly relocated him. I was very grateful.
The seats are soooooooo small in economy. I was offered no tea or coffee in the am. When I asked was told that it was too late. The plane was 2 hours late leaving.
Very good. Very efficient. Entertainment was not functioning both ways which was disappointing.

AC was 2 hours late which forced me to reschedule my connecting flight (for a fee!). Most likely because of that we had to go to three different gates before we could finally board. Of course it was not the crews fault, but if AC would have wanted to apologize they could have served a light snack or at least a drink free of charge, didn't happen... The display at the MEX airport showed that AC was THE ONLY airline which was delayed, at least at that time period. All the airlines were "Green" but AC was "RED" Nothing to add!
Lots of announcements that no wheeled carry on bags were allowed on the flight, yet the overhead bins were totally full and made it uncomfortable trying to get through and significantly held up departure. Why were they allowed on when they said that they weren't? Trash only came by soon after service and I wasn't ready to dispose of it. I had to first hold on to it and after flagging and attendant was told to stuff it in the seat back! I have never run into the need to walk outside in northern winter weather at an international airport and wasn't dressed to do so in the cold pouring rain! I'm not thinking that I'll be back unless I hear things have changed.
My first flight left so late we knew I would miss my connection. Rather than redirecting me then, they made me take a flight to Montreal, then Toronto (there was a flight leaving for Toronto when I was in NYC, no need for me to also go to montreal). Then they gave me a food voucher that did not work (4 places would not accept it). At least they gave me a hotel automatically, even though it was a cheap crappy one. I'm still not home, and it's been over 24 hours. I'm exhausted.
Liked the size of seats. Not much food offered given length of flight.
The boarding was at a dual gate hallway and there was only one spoken explanation about which way to turn to board the correct plane. It wasn't marked visually at the split in the gate. The phone charger did not work at my seat. The temperature was quite chilly throughout the flight and the recorded announcements were extremely loud for a small plane.
I did like the service and the flight was pretty smooth, however I'm tall and leg room was complicated, the bathroom did not have soap and the default snack was quite deceiving and small
We were sent via the ac app to a wrong gate. And then got a boarding message to the original gate. Had to run through the airport to get to the gate just in time. Were they purposely trying to trick me? The day before flight was sent a message for free change of flight. Kinda suspect they oversold the flight.
